Benefits

Bad-credit credit cards allow you to prove to lenders that you can sensibly handle debt. If you use them regularly and repay the balance in full each month you will demonstrate that you are managing credit successfully. This will improve your credit score so you will qualify for better cards in the future – so, in a sense, bad-credit credit cards are second chance credit cards.
There are times when it is very useful to have a credit card to pay with, for example if you are buying something over the internet. Also, if you are making a purchase that costs more than £100 it's always advisable to pay using a credit card as you are protected under the 1974 Consumer Credit Act in the event of the product being faulty or the company you buy it from going bust. You don't have this protection if you pay with cash, cheque or debit card.
